I am finally back to my computer after a fabulous reunion weekend and a week of vacationing with my wonderful family. I am still overwhelmed at the response to the reunion. I was a little disappointed after the May attendance count but once June rolled around, the numbers doubled, which became scary. And of course you have those who just show up at the last minute. Not to worry it all worked out. Thank you all for your hugs, your thank yous, your participation and your beautiful families. It was a weekend I will never forget and I hope you won’t either. We have a beautiful history and I was so proud to be able to share it with you, and Charleston, in a manner, different than most reunions.

I would like to get your feedback on all the location, the hotel, the events, transportation, etc. Just tell me your thoughts so that I can make it better the next time.

I do apologize to you who may not have taken your tour at Magnolia. Being the first time arranging that it was a little confusing. I already know what to do next time to make it a better experience. You almost need and entire day to include gardens, the house, boat, train, petting zoo, slavery tour, observatory, and the Noisette Rose garden.

I wish I had done a better job of introductions. I know and met just about everyone who attended. I looked over the group picture (which is fabulous) and can name almost everyone. But many of you didn’t get to meet everyone which is a little difficult when you have 150 people involved. As soon as the photographer releases the picture to me I will label it with everyone’s name and post it to the website. I may have to request some help so I apologize in advance if I have to ask your name.

Please view the website often for updates. Send me items of interest and news from your family for posting. If you have a business and would like to post your link please send it to me.

The Book

I worked many months, day and night, on the Noisette Book. I requested pictures, names, dates, and assistance. I was so proud of the final draft and was so excited to have something of that magnitude to present to you. The book arrived just days before the reunion. With so much going on, I did not take a very close look at the book before distributing them. To my dismay the printer errored in the final printing of the book. After viewing and approving the corrected final draft of the book on July 8th, the printer somehow printed the very first draft. From the first draft to the final draft, 28 pages where edited, changed or replaced. Some of the changes were small and maybe unnoticeable. Some statements were edited because historical discoveries changed the facts. You can imagine what I am feeling to have to tell you that the books will have to be replaced. I am waiting final word from the printer. I will keep you posted.

This has been weighing on me all week. I realized there was really nothing I could do at this point. I was truly devastated last week upon this discovery. I will replace your books as soon as possible and please accept my apology for this inconvenience.

BTW: My son John ‘Auz’ Clement proposed to his girlfriend Cali on Thursday at sunrise on the Isle of Palms where we were vacationing. It was truly a joyous week for me, thanks to you all!!

Much love…
